The original TTM57SL had a Control Panel that allowed you to change the function of the Joyticks. The new TTM57mkII doesnt have a Panel (this may change in the future). So for the initial launch/first version of Firmware - you will not be able to change the Joystick Controls on the TTM57mkII. Currently the Joysticks have Instant Double, Censor, Slip On/Off and Internal Mode. Press the Joystick to change it to Transform.

Just curious, what would you like the Joysticks to do for you?

I have the first 57.
My instant double controls on the joystick are inverted in comparison to the new settings, and i also use the joystick for putting the track at the beginning when i do juggling or mixing.
These are movement that i do automatically whitout even thinking about it.
I REALLY need to change my mixer but i use joystick too much for thinking about the 62.
The new 57 is perfect and i will buy it for sure, hoping for this firmware update or midi map eneabling.

Thanks for the answer!

I also use the joysticks to enable my echo out effect (up); instant doubles(left/right), cue the track from the beginning (left/right), and censor (down).

I too will be upgrading to the 57mk2 and hope that the ability to customize the joysticks are soon made available.

Can the FX controls on the mixer work with an effect that is part of the 3 bank grouping? I primarly use echo out.

Please let me know!

Yes, you can control the Ultra Knob Single FX in Serato DJ or you can control the First FX in the Super Knob 3 FX Mode.

Does this mixer have the same new phono pre amps as the new mp2015?

One more question. I own a Rane 56s, as well as a Pioneer DJM-900 and Allen&Heath; Xone: 42. I also used to own a Rane 62 and an original 56.

I’ve always noticed that mixes seem to “layer” really well, with songs blending cleanly together on my old 56 as well as current 56s, as well as on my 900 and 42. On the 62 (and I’ve played on a 61 and 64 at length as well) all seem to be a bit “muddier” from an EQ perspective for mix DJs with slow, smooth, long mixes. I realize that this is not a very technical explanation but the best way I can describe it. :/

While I can assume no eq curve changes have been made on the 57MKII, has there anything been done from a sound processing perspective to make it more like the old Rane analog mixers? This seems to have been outlined a bit in this review as well: http://nerdydj.com/2013/12/rane-sixty-two-vs-pioneer-djm-900-srt-group-review/

I LOVE Rane mixers and would love to keep my 56s, get rid of the others, and buy the 57MKII so I can be 100% Rane again. :)

Let me know!

Thanks.

Andrei

Will there be rack ears for the TTM57mkII?

Good question. Probably

The Rack Ears/Battle Bridge that fits the 62 and 64 will fit on the TTM57mkII. You can purchase them here: http://www.rane.com/ranestore.html

Thanks, Rafael. I have a set of rack ears on my 62 & 64. I think it’s longer than the TTM57mkII, though & might need some trimming to look right. But at this point, it doesn’t even matter—I literally think about the TTM57mkII every day & honestly I can’t wait to get it!!

Hey guys, 2 questions, is this ever going to be compatible with Scratch Live, or only Serato DJ. And second, will the Mix Emergency Video plug-in be compatible? Thanks

Serato is finished with Scratch Live.

In regards to ME, I can only assume it will work with the MK2. You may want to hit up Inklen to double check :)

This thing is great! I put a deposit down at my local retailer to make sure I can get my hands on this when it drops. Any updates on when retailers should be getting these?

We should have mixers ready to ship in a couple weeks :)

I finally got my 57mkII and tried to install the rack ears/battle bridge. To my disappointment, the holes in the mixer do not line up correctly with the holes on the battle bridge. I’m not sure if you can update the drawings on the mixer for future production, or if you will offer a different kit for this mixer.

The ears are the same dimensions as the mixer.

When the top hole is aligned, the ears are too low on the mixer & the other 2 holes do not align:

With the left and right holes aligned:

I’ll have to either drill new holes in the ears, or the mixer (I’m not that crazy), or use the odyssey battle bridge. Bummer…

hey Shaun,

For advanced user, will it be possible to map the line faders and crossfader from the Rane TTM57mkII to Serato dj ?
For example: If i want to change one of the fx amount in the same time that i use the crossfader.

Thanks!

Love the Rane brand. The TTM57MKII lives up to the hype, smooth, responsive faders, great integration with Serato DJ. No complaints on my part. Check out my page maybe it is worth mentioning http://www.clubdjpro.com/
