DJ Brace has had a diverse DJ career that began over 15 years ago and features many highlights as a DJ, turntablist and producer. Brace's success began with winning numerous DJ titles which culminated in becoming the 2004 DMC Canadian Champion. Recently he made a brief return to competition and won 1st in the 2013 Kid Koala 8-Bit Blues battle judged by D-Styles, RJD2 and Dan The Automator. After stepping away from DJ competitions he began work on his debut solo album, Nostomania, which went on to win a Juno award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Instrumental Album of 2009. His second solo album, Synesthasia, was nominated in 2011 for Felix award (Quebec Music Awards) in the category of Electronic album of the year. His music can also be heard on the Fox TV series Prison Break and on the Canadian TV channel CBC. Brace currently resides in New York where he is actively composing and recording in the studio working on his solo material collaborating with Soul Khan, Kabanjak and with rap group Brown Bag AllStars. He is also the official scratch DJ, and a remixer, for Ancient Astronauts of Thievery Corporation's ESL Music.
