The Sixty-One is a plug-and-play package supporting two-deck digital vinyl simulation, software effects and all the record and playback channels you need. The Sixty-One Mixer supports both analog and Digital Vinyl Simulation (DVS) playback. The mixer is bundled with Serato Scratch Live and includes ASIO and Core Audio drivers for use with other audio programs. Two Serato Control Vinyl Records and two Serato Control CDs are included.
A typical setup includes operation with two Scratch Live DVS channels, SP-6 sample player on an independent USB Aux playback channel and Software effects enabled on the USB digital insert in the FlexFx loop. This setup also allows recording PGM-1 post-fader, PGM-2 post-fader and the Main mix.

Why so many channels? The Sixty-One is able to simultaneously support control-signal pickup and playback for two DVS Decks, provide independent playback for the SP6 sample-player, record both program channels post fader, provide USB send and return for software effects insert and record the main mix, all at the same time.
The dedicated SP6 sample player playback channel allows you to independently control the mix level, Cue and effects assignment of the SP6 sample player from the mixer. This is a significant improvement over simply summing with Deck playback.
The proprietary Rane magnetic fader is fast, accurate, and long lasting. The design uses non-contact technology previously reserved for demanding aerospace and industrial applications. No travel noise—no bleed—ever.
Unlike optical non-contact faders, Rane's magnetic faders are impervious to smoke, moisture, temperature, ambient light and aging. (You know, only the stuff you run into at every club.)
Rane's magnetic faders accurately translate hand motion into precise audio level control. Non-contact fader technology is the only way to fully address the needs of the professional performance DJ.
Each program channel on the Sixty-One has its own dedicated 3-band isolator EQs and dedicated High-Pass/Low-Pass filters. These controls let you take full control of your mix to accurately and precisely cut or boost any component of your track. Use the full cut EQs to tune it just the way you want it, or use the High-Pass/Low-Pass filter knob to quickly cut and boost with one turn. The filter allows you to blend, mix or add a unique effect to your track.
Both source types are commonly used for analog playback and DVS control. Two Phono/CD inputs per Deck allow selecting between combinations of four phono/CD inputs sources using the input selector on each channel.
Session I/O supports chaining mixer together or adding an additional input with an output available for an additional zone.
Balanced high-output Main out and excellent turn on/off muting for all outputs allows you to plug into a club system, turn on and play high-quality audio without worrying about pops clicks, ground loop or noise.
The Rane FlexFx Loop on the Sixty-One mixer is the ultimate solution for flexible control of your audio effects. The FlexFx Loop is an auxiliary bus dedicated to combining any number of programs and mic and applying external and software effects. This means you can quickly and easily add and remove audio to the FlexFx loop, apply external effects processors and software effects, and then blend it with the main mix with an easy access Wet/Dry slider.
The USB Insert allows you to use the wide variety of effects available in software in your post-fader mix on the mixer. Many beat affects must be post-fader to work correctly and simply applying an effect to a deck in software doesn’t get you there.
Rane’s ultra low latency, multi-client ASIO and Core Audio drivers set the standard for USB streaming devices. These drivers are fast and reliable, and are designed for professionals with demanding needs.
Rane ASIO and Core Audio drivers allow use with multiple third-party software applications that support Core Audio or ASIO. ASIO and Core Audio drivers are multi-client, meaning they allow multiple applications on a computer to share the device at the same time. When using a Rane product with Serato Scratch Live, proprietary Serato Audio Research drivers are used in place of Rane ASIO (Windows) and Core Audio (Mac) drivers. The included Rane drivers are used when Scratch Live is not running.
