Hi, Im just wondering what the recommended manner to record a mix is, using the following very simple setup:

1 Rane MP2015 mixer
2 Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus (USB Sticks)

Unfortunately, I can’t use my current USB-driven audio interface (Roland Tri-Capture) to act as my soundcard and allow me to record through Audacity as the new MacBook Pros don’t recognise un-powered USB devices (this was the way I had been recording mixes with my old MPB)

I’m aware the MP2105 has its own soundcard - is there anyway i can take advantage of this given i now can’t use my current audio interface?

Huge thanks in advance for your help,

I can provide you some insight based on my experience with the Rane in a Windows setup not a MAC. I use the Rane as my soundcard for recording to Adobe Audition. Once the USB connection and drivers are installed. Opened the Preferrences in Adobe Audition, In the Audio hardware dropdown appears the Rane. Select it but then you also have to select the channels to record. I select to record Main L/R to record mixes from all channels. Maybe some of this is relevant.
