Product Manager (Cumberland, RI)

Product Manager

inMusic Brands, Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Manager. Candidates need experience managing products through their product life. This includes researching new product opportunities, authoring and maintaining product specifications, assisting with trade shows, marketing, sales, etc. Product development experience and a knowledge of consumer or MI equipment is required. Responsibilities

The product manager guides products through-out their entire product life cycles. Specific responsibilities of the position include:

  • Researching new product opportunities by evaluating competitive products, the current marketplace, market trends, customer interests and sales demand

  • Working directly with engineering, design, marketing and sales
  • Attending and assisting in the planning of tradeshows and sales events

Experience Required

Loudspeaker Systems Engineer (Cumberland, RI)

Experience and Education Required:

This position requires 7+ year’s experience in the engineering development of mass market loudspeaker, headphone, and/or microphone products, with a minimum of 3+ years proven hands-on design experience in developing loudspeaker products for the professional market. The position requires demonstrated experience developing products from concept through mass production. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

Interprets and implements product performance specifications to design and/or specify all aspects of professional loudspeaker systems including: transducers, amplification, signal processing, crossover networks, components, and enclosures.

Performs and interprets measurements of: loudspeaker, microphone, and headphone components and systems including: analog and digital signal processing; power amplifiers, and limiter/protection circuits. Analyzes measurements to design or specify design changes. Experience using Audio Precision and an acoustic measurement system (AP, CLIO, LMS, MLSSA, SMARRT, TEF, etc.) is required.

Designs and evaluates acoustical performance of products working together with product managers, mechanical engineers, and industrial designers on issues related to acoustical performance.

Specifies and evaluates transducer components based on: Thiele-Small parameters, acoustical and electrical measurements, controlled subjective listening tests, and evaluation of power ratings. Specifies and designs analog circuits and digital filters for loudspeaker processing using Filtershop or equivalent design software. Reviews and interprets schematics and PCB layouts. Tests and adjusts analog limiter circuits and DSP limiter parameters.

Performs subjective listening tests for loudspeaker, amplifier, headphone, and microphone products. Interprets results and implements design changes to achieve performance goals.

Uses oscilloscopes, meters, data loggers, and other engineering equipment in daily work. Occasionally reworks and changes component value changes on prototype PCB’s including SMT and through-hole designs.

Position requires willingness to work in an office and in an engineering laboratory environment. Job responsibilities require lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds weight, as well as bending, sitting, and crouching. Visual acuity and manual dexterity to inspect and hand-solder fine-pitch surface mount PCB assemblies is required.

This position is located at the Alto Professional offices in Cumberland, RI. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and editing public-facing documentation (mostly manuals) for inMusic’s products. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and can explain complex topics and functions more simply to the user through text and graphics. Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Create and edit written, public-facing documentation for our products: user guides, quickstart guides, firmware release notes/instructions, etc.
  • Create and/or edit graphics for documentation: vector art, photos, diagrams, screenshots, etc.
  • Compile translations into documentation (making minor changes as needed)

Audio Response Team Specialist (Canada)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Audio Response Team Specialist will be part of an internal rep force of product specialists that will travel across the country and visit dealers in their assigned districts to train, sell and merchandise products as directed from management. This person will be responsible to communicate with dealers and end-users about current product news and information. Provide intel from the field on current products and competitive products as well as submit trip reports weekly on their assigned dealers. Occasionally as needed will also be required to travel outside their districts for meetings, training, trade shows, presentations and events, clinics, keynotes, workshops and many other various types of public and private events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Visit dealers in their districts on a schedule as determined by their supervisor, including some weekends.
  • Provide and gather information during scheduled dealer visits
  • Fill out trip reports weekly in a timely manner based on the dealers visited according to their schedule. Collect and provide specific product feedback to sales, marketing and development on a regular basis.
  • Represents the outward face of inMusic Canada at all national dealers and events and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times

  • Frequently moves Audio/Visual/Music equipment weighing up to 100 pounds across a store or trade show floor for various merchandising or demonstration needs. A weight belt is required to be worn when lifting anything more than 50 pounds.

Duties

Reporting directly to the International Channel Marketing Manager responsible for Amazon / Ecommerce content, the job-holder will be responsible for supporting all territorial Amazon marketing activity for a defined group of brands within the inMusic portfolio. The successful candidate will join inMusic’s European Marketing team at an exciting point, executing defined marketing strategies throughout all ecommerce marketplaces with a firm focus on asset specification, generation & deployment, supporting advertising/AMS activity, preparation of marketing reports by collecting, analyzing & summarizing sales / metric data and conducting meaningful, relevant market intelligence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities, to include:

  • Assist in the development and delivery of engaging product & branding campaigns, promotional initiatives and product launch programs predominantly focussed on EU Ecommerce Marketplaces
  • Management of translation needs in line with the requirements of inMusic’s directly managed ecommerce EU Marketplaces ensuring all copy, features, titles, video content and graphic assets are fit for purpose
  • Specify, create and evaluate ASIN / product listings in line with Keywords, ensuring customers are targeted effectively
  • Specify and execute photo/video shoot briefs for the purpose of generating additional carousel images, lifestyle photography and video content that supplement new and existing product listings
  • Take ownership of all Amazon European brand pages, updating these regularly across all Amazon marketplaces in full-synchronization with promotional activity and product launch programs
  • Specify and implement all content briefs, adapting such in line with feature updates, promotions and competitor activity
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data from all ecommerce marketplaces
  • Ensure consistent brand/product messaging across all ecommerce communication channels
  • Prep, adapt and deploy launch packs and marketing toolkits to inMusic’s global teams, promoting a holistic international brand image
  • Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing and advertising within global Amazon marketplaces
  • Ownership and maintenance of internal ecommerce-centric CRM databases
  • Monitor customer reviews, sourcing remedial strategies and responses where applicable

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of two years working in a highly demanding team support role would be preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Fluency in a second language (French Preferred)
  • Confident and highly confidential with all tasks
  • Impeccable attention to detail and confident in the work you do
  • Professional and hardworking whilst being a team player and social
  • Advance level in all MS packages - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience of products within the MI Sector
  • Experience and knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian and German markets, trends and consumer profiles
